In a New Mexico Civil case can I only reference cases from New Mexico?

I am appearing Pro Se in a civil case in N.M. I am writing my own motions and briefs. Can I only site precedent in N.M. or can I use federal cases and cases from other states? In a New Mexico Civil case can I only reference cases from New Mexico?
I wouldnt reperesent myself here in the states let alone in NM. Are you out of your mind. In my exsperience (family friends lived there for a time) the law there can and does whatever it wants to. GET A LAWYER NOW.In a New Mexico Civil case can I only reference cases from New Mexico?
You can cite (note the spelling) cases from anywhere in the world. Only cases from the same or a higher court in the same jurisdiction are binding, however.

Other cases can be cited as persuasive.

Um, Jackie...... New Mexico IS ';in the States';.
