IA means 'Interlocutory Application' - Interim Petition may be filed in the Main Case or Main Original Petition OK

In cases like - administration suits, suit for dissolution of partnership, suit for account between principal and agent, Partition, Mortgage, - PRELIMINARY DECREE will be passed

In the said Preliminary Decree, the court specify the 'time limit' to comply with the decree. After that u have to take steps for 'Final Decree'.

For example: if in partition u may file an IA application to appoint advocate commissioner to divide the share as per the decree with metes and bounds

To get the order, file 'Copy Application' to get certified copy of preliminary decreeWhat is IA number in civil cases?
First, go to the county and state, where a state court of the county would adjudicate civil cases. So without knowing what county and state you are in, that is the best anybody can tell you to start. Sometimes they have web-sites but usually you need to contact someone at the county court. It is why lawyers get paid a lot, and they use legal researchers that spend a lot of time getting the info.
