How does a person request from the courts to pay a civil case judgement against you in installments?

Actually, the federally mandated amount allowed for wage garnishment in 45 out of 50 states, is up to 25% of your total income. 75% is always exempt. For states like Florida and Texas, 100% of wages are exempt.

You do need to go directly to your creditor to work this out. It is not the court's job to work out a settlement. They only act on the filings that are given to them by an attorney or creditor. How does a person request from the courts to pay a civil case judgement against you in installments?
If it has gone to judgment, it is too late to ask the court for this relief. You need to ask the plaintiff's lawyer to agree on a repayment schedule. In the worst case scenario, if you don't agree, the plaintiff can seize your property (except for a few exempt assets--a bible, some clothes, the tools of your trade) and ten percent of your income.
