Do public defenders also cover civil cases such as divorce?

I know way more about criminal law than civil law and I'm not entirely sure about the public defenders and how that whole thing works when it comes to divorce.Do public defenders also cover civil cases such as divorce?

So here is my answer. More than likely they CAN defend both but typically attorneys choose a specific path to go down, ex. a paper lawyer, a divorce lawyer, a child lawyer etc.
